The mattress is placed directly on the bed, eliminating the use of a foundation or box spring. Rock platform beds are made of top quality, unfinished wood, adding a rustic look and making the Rock a true price value. The yellow pine wood used to construct the Rock Bed retains the strength of oak, while being much more cost effective and environment friendly.
